This paper describes the Microsoft® Operations Framework (MOF) Process Model, one of the two core MOF models. (The other is the MOF Team Model.) The MOF Process Model describes Microsoft's approach to the IT operations and service management life cycle. The Process Model organizes the life cycle into quadrants, with each quadrant having a specific focus and set of tasks that are carried out through its corresponding set of service management functions (SMFs).
